I took up ballroom to improve my health and meet people, found a good school. Bought these shoes from Amazon for a good price. Less than what the Capezio web site wants for them, less than what my school would have charged. You wear thin socks so you learn what your foot is doing, it's designed to keep your foot flexible not in a box. This is a dance shoe so your foot stays flexible and can feel the floor, not a hiking boot. I stepped on my teachers foot. I could feel her toe through the sole of the shoe and got off before I hurt her. Nice smooth leather shoe that looks good and is comparable to the men's shoes the instructors and professional dancers wear.14W works for me, I'm 6'3", 337 lbs and on borrowed time, due for a heart attach or stroke. Loosing weight, looking good, dressing well, holding a beautiful woman. Best workout ever!

The idea of buying shoes online never appealed to me, as I like to ensure a proper fit and don't want the hassle of repeated returns. However, I followed the guidance from other reviewers on this style (go up one size in length and width), and found they fit perfectly. I have been tremendously pleased with the simplicity and convenience of this purchase, and will undoubtedly make use of this system again.

ReplyDeletethe shoes were everything I expected. They fit well and have no issues with them. The construction seems good and after wearing them for three sessions, I would recommend them for beginners for sure. The suede bottoms work well on the dance floor. Great value foe the cost.

ReplyDeleteI bought a pair of these about two and a half years ago and after continual use 4 or 5 times a week, needed a new pair. The shoes fit comfortably with no break-in necessary. This is a great dance shoe for social dancing. This shoe is fine for Hustle, West Coast Swing, Salsa and any of the other latin or ballroom dances. You will need to use a shoe comb fairly often to keep the bottoms in good shape. Avoid wearing these outside or you will quickly ruin the bottoms. When ordering, keep in mind that Capezio tends to run about 1/2 size smaller in length and a letter or two smaller in width than most shoes. I usually take a 10 1/2 D but in these shoes I need an 11W.
