I love Pilot

They've captured the moment here. What 30 Rock did for sketch comedy, Browsers will do for our current You Tube, viral video culture. It is a musical, but I appreciate the fact that the production is in the form of modern-sounding pop songs that you might hear on the radio, rather than the old-timey melodramatic Broadway stage style of songwriting, which it could have easy fallen into.
Sitcoms are always built around memorable, likable characters. You like them, and you want to see them succeed. In the case of Browsers, you have to love these crazy, ambitious kids (something we've seen many times before, but here handled spot-on perfectly). You want to see more of them, even Bebe Neuwirth's character, a bit of a whip cracking boss, but still appealing. A job well done by all involved. Great potential here. I can't wait to see an entire season.
Could a pilot just jump back into the cockpit 10, 20, or even 30 years after he flew that particular aircraft and fly without a problem? Fighters are a bit more complex I beleive so how would that be different from other aircraft such as cargo planes since a pilot can continue his career flying those type of planes in the commercial industry but a fighter pilot can not?
ReplyDeleteI imagine being a commercial pilot is a fun job. Obviously not. I've seen several people on this page just complaning about being pilots and urging pilot hopefuls to stay away from the career field. It's apparently not the best money in the world. I heard it's one of the most stressful jobs. And If you pilots hate your jobs so much (at least thats the vibe I'm getting but correct me if I'm wrong) why did you decide to be pilots?
ReplyDeleteWhat if the pilot goes for a sudden dive during highjacking when the highjacker isnt seatbelted?
ReplyDeleteI am interested in becoming a pilot. I want to watch some videos of airline pilots and what exactly they do. I also want to know what is good about becoming one? Where is the best place in the usa to go college to become an airline pilot? What airlines are hiring? is it going to be hard to get a job?
ReplyDeleteIn the far/aim the student pilot certificate is good for 2 years a 3rd class medical is good for 3 years if you are under 40. But my medical and student pilot certificate are both one document. So do they expire at different times or at the same time? The far/aim does not address this that I can find. Thanks!
