I highly recommend this novel for all Christian married couples. Jim is the control freak husband who thinks of only himself and doesn't realize the damage he's done to his wife and children. Marilyn, the perfect Christian wife, can't take it anymore. She leaves him. She doesn't tell him where she'll be or talk to him at all. She leaves him a note telling him he's lost her heart. The rest of the novel is how this clueless man humbles himself and learns the damage he's done. Then he goes about showing his wife love and trying to win her back. But it won't be easy. Marilyn is afraid to open herself up again to the pain he's caused.
This novel covers many techniques marriage counselors use to heal broken marriages, but it does it in a way that we can see it through the character's lives. I could relate to this novel because, at one time, my marriage had been broken because my husband was a lot like Jim in this story. My husband got saved, humbled himself, and won back my love. We've been married 34 years, and the last 18 years have been wonderful.
best purchase i've made in a long time. have been lusting after these boots for months and finally bit the bullet. they are perfect with jeans, pants, skirts, dresses, everything!
ReplyDeleteLOVE these boots so much I will get a 2nd pair in another color. But, I am usually always a size 10 and these, in a 10 are a bit too big. Had to put an insole in, and wear thick socks...

ReplyDeleteAlways Google the product you are looking for to find the best deal. I found them for $30 less on a different website just after i had bought them on Amazon. Returned them unworn.
This is a pair of cute boots. The heels is not too high. It looks very elegance and walk comfortably. I got compliment every times i wear it. It is a little narrower than most of my shoes but it does not bother me. I normally wear medium shoes.

ReplyDeleteI am very happy with these boots. I was wavering back and forth about purchasing them or not but I went for it and I'm totally pleased. I ordered them in putty, size 10. I find them to be comfortable and true to size. They are not too narrow, and I have issues with a bunion and toe problems and I have experienced no discomfort with them. There is plenty of toe room. The color is very nice and they look great with everything.
ReplyDeleteReally comfortable and great quality. I made sure to put suede protector before wearing them. It fits true to size and looks great with skinny jeans. I was hesitant to get my true size (7.5) since I have a little wider feet but they fit great. I usually wear flats so this a good alternative when it gets cold out. I just bought the putty color as well.
ReplyDeleteI wore them shopping the day after I got them. They looked great and my feet did not hurt at all even though there is really moderate support.
