He was taken from school to a man who informed him that the way he saw people meant that he was a Homo Novus and would be trained as a superhero. It seemed his dream was becoming reality. The author does a great job in describing his characters and their abilities. It takes me back (way back) to the time of Superman. There is adventure, deception, and battles fought with the various capabilities like the ability to fly, to become invisible and to travel at superhuman speed.
This should appeal to youngsters, but at age 79, I also enjoyed it. It is a short story and I look forward to the next one.

Tim is your typical awkward youth. He has an interesting disorder which makes him different than other people. Then he's called away by a mysterious man who tells him what he really is: a spotter. Yep, that's right, he's a super hero. This book is action packed, and basically every kid's day dream. Full of fighting and twists and turns, it promises a thrilling ride!

ReplyDeleteInduction is a superb superhero story that I recommend wholeheartedly. This creative and captivating story kept me guessing the entire time and the ending topped off what was already an action-filled superhero tale. Overall, I felt the characters were well developed, especially the main character, Tim, who at the tender age of fifteen was coming into his own as a unique type of superhero. Without giving too much of the plot away, he's the type of superhero either side would love to have on their team.

As his training proceeds, and before he feels he's even ready to go out into the field, an important mission is bestowed upon him and the rest of the young team.
