I love Wizard Scarecrow Romper Costume Months
My 6 year-old has about 15 games and apps for her LeapPad, and this one is a favorite of both of ours. The Fairy Tales eBook contains two stories, Leapfrog versions of The Three Little Pigs and Jack and the Beanstalk, and has the same basic format as the other Ultra eBooks we own... full-color, interactive, narrated story pages, interspersed with educational mini-games. Leapfrog's versions of the fairy tales are fairly far-removed from the originals, very inoffensive and mild. Though they definitely aren't my favorite retellings, they're not bad stories, and I think my 6 year-old - who knows the original Grimm versions inside and out - actually enjoys spotting and telling me about the differences between the "real" stories and the Leapfrog ones.
Anyway, the thing that sets this eBook above the others we own are the learning games... they are much more interesting and far more educational than the others we've tried, as well as being perfectly targeted for the true beginning reader. My favorite activity is one where your child is given an incomplete sentence and asked to drag and drop the missing word into the appropriate spot... it is perfect for learning Kindergart en sight words! Overall, this is one of the better LeapPad learning tools out there and very definitely recommended for Kindergart en-level readers.

ReplyDeleteI dressed my kids as Dorothy and the scarecrow this past Halloween. Well made costume and very cute and comfortable.
ReplyDeleteMy 27inch, 13month old wore this and it was perfect. It feels like a nice weight fleece. He wouldn't wear the hat, but the rest was great. We got 3 wears out if it with no damage to the costume and it will go in our dress up box for fun now.
ReplyDeleteGreat costume for a wonderful price. My 1yr old son wore this costume to several events and it held up quite nicely with the exclusion of a few missing fringes which wasn't a deal breaker nor did it affect the look of the costume. I'm am very please with this purchase.

ReplyDeleteGot this for my 18-month-old, and it fit her PERFECTLY. I think it would be a bit large on a six-month-old. But it was absolutely adorable. And pretty good quality for the price.

ReplyDeleteI was a little concerned the costume would be too small, but was hard to find (for me) in an 18 month size at a reasonable price. I'm glad I saw the other reviews indicating the costume was large. Our son is 18 months old, 31" tall, and about 24 lbs, and this fit him perfect. It went on well over another set of clothes so he wouldn't get cold. The only thing you need to be prepared for is how to get the hat to stay where it should. It's designed for a really large head, and so while it velcroes, it was too loose. We fixed it with a paper clip after pulling it tight around his chin. He didn't seem to mind a bit, and had an absolute blast handing out candy to all the trick-or-treaters. Great buy and great sizing.
