This is my third pair of water shoes. The first pair loosened up and threatened to fall off my feet, and the second pair started ripping and disintegrating after about a month of thrice weekly classes. Finally I have found a shoe that stays securely on my feet throughout a rather vigorous workout with instructors who push us to our limits! For me they are true to size and easily adjusted without any fuss...just pull the top center adjustment elastic to tighten. The toe guard is a great addition to the usefulness of the shoe. They are built to last--more like an actual sneaker! They do take longer to dry than the others, but that is because there is more to them. Let's just hope that Teva continues to carry this shoe. Perhaps I should buy another pair before they discontinue them. Hmmm, not a bad idea! Just in case there is any doubt about my enthusiasm for this product, let me add that I recommend them very highly!

This shoe is incredibly comfortable, even right out of the box. I bought them for a water hike/kayaking outing, and they seem perfect! The elastic lacing is easily adjustable without having to bother with actual laces, which means the shoes can hug tightly if you want secure footing on slippery rocks or hang a bit loosely if you're on a more casual outing. The back heel folds down to make a clog-style shoe, and is comfortable to walk on. I didn't even notice the feel of the heel after testing it out.
ReplyDeleteThese shoes grip incredibly well, even on wet surfaces. I love the colors (stylish, not so girly that I feel embarrassed to wear them, rugged enough to match my outdoor clothing, and dark-colored enough to hide dirt/mud), and they are casual enough to wear into restaurants or bars, too. Mine fit like a glove, and I love wearing them.
Only downside: as with most sandals, my feet start to stink a bit when they sweat and I don't have socks to wick away the moisture. However, this is only problematic on dry hikes---water activities mean my feet get rinsed enough that this isn't much of an issue. And these shoes were made for water sports. They are absolutely perfect for canoe/kayak/rafting trips, or for waterfall hikes.

ReplyDeleteI do some very intense water excerise and running in the pool just hurt my feet so much!! I purchased a cheaper pair of water shoes and they did not help at all, so I found Teva on Amazon.com, and ordered them it is the Best thing I could have done! Now I can really look forward to my workout. They are light in the water and they dry out fast and are ready to go again. I would recommend to anyone who needs extra support for their feet in the pool to not want another minute, but order your Teva water shoes, TODAY!

As a swim coach I spend a lot of my time standing and walking around on concrete and tiled pool decks Whether during practice or weekend competitions I useually get completely soaked, and the feet are always the first to be drenched. If I wear flip flops I get a back ache from no support, and my sneakers get smelly and ruined after one day at an event. Finally, I've found something that is comfortable, supportive, and dries easily, plus they look pretty darn cool. Love them!

ReplyDeleteI bought these shoes for aqua aerobics; they are very easy to slip on and off. The fit is true to size. I am now buying another pair to wear around the house. They are comfortable and provide the arch support that I need.
